Established in the early 1990s, Onetai estate is set in the pristine native bush by the Coromandel state forest park.  The 22-acre property is a mixture of regenerating native forest and meandering streams flowing through bird-filled gullies and peaks. Open meadows with grazing cattle and game fowl, back onto two mature fruit orchards that provide succulent organic fruits and delicacies for the breakfast table or complementing the home-style meals.

There once was an action-filled bike adventure track running through one section of the property; this offers a challenging trail for those with BMX mountain bike skills.

There are some walking tracks through the dense bush for you to explore the many native varieties of trees and other fauna and flora.

Immediately surrounding the house are a variety of plantings providing colour and interest year-round so whatever time you visit, there will be a display of fantastic flowering colours.

The current owner took over the property in 2019, fully renovating the building over two years and is constantly working toward extensive planting and development of the property.
